AI-Readiness Checker
AI answer engines can only mention businesses whose websites they can crawl and understand. This free checker tests one URL in under 8 seconds: robots.txt rules for seven AI crawlers, crawler versus browser access, llms.txt, JSON-LD business details, and basic page signals. Each failed item comes with a one-line fix.

Frequently asked questions
- What does the AI-Readiness Checker look at?
- It reads your homepage, robots.txt and llms.txt. It reports whether GPTBot, OAI-SearchBot, ChatGPT-User, PerplexityBot, ClaudeBot, Google-Extended, Bingbot are allowed, whether an AI crawler gets the same response as a browser, whether your JSON-LD names your business type, name, address and phone, and whether the page has a title, description, H1 and canonical link and can be indexed.
- Is the result a score of my firm?
- No. It is a checklist of technical signals, passed or to fix. It says nothing about the quality of your legal or insurance services and is not a rating.
- Do you store the URL or the results?
- No. The URL is checked once and the checklist is returned to your browser. To prevent abuse, each IP address can run 10 checks per hour, counted with a hashed IP address.
- Why does an AI crawler get a different response than a browser?
- Firewalls, CDNs and bot-protection services often block unknown user agents with HTTP 403 or by dropping the connection. The checker requests your homepage once as a browser and once as GPTBot so you can see the difference.
